What is the Conspit 50-70 mm PCD spacer for?

It does two jobs. It converts a 50 mm bolt pattern to the 70 mm pattern used by high-end wheels, and it adds the clearance deep-hub wheels need so they don't foul the wheelbase housing. One part solves both problems instead of stacking adapters on top of each other.

Does the spacer introduce play between wheel and base?

No. It's CNC machined from aluminium to tight tolerances, and the supplied hardware clamps everything into one rigid block. That matters here more than anywhere: a loose interface at this point creates movement you feel instantly in the force feedback. The assembly stays firm, with no rattle.

Can I use it to adjust the distance between wheel and driver?

Yes. Beyond the pattern conversion, the spacer pushes the wheel forward, which is often enough to clear the paddles or move your hands away from the quick release body. You fine-tune your position without touching the rig or the wheelbase mount.
