The shifter brings back a motion that paddles made disappear from simulation: shifting gears by hand, with the mechanical rhythm and the risk of a missed shift that comes with it. For rally, historic cars, drift, NASCAR and trucking, it's a complete transformation of the experience, and often a matter of realism: these disciplines are driven with a lever.

Two shifter families answer different needs. The sequential (push-pull) is the tool of rally and modern sequential-gearbox race cars: the Simagic Q1S offers a compact planetary gearset with a remarkably mechanical feel, the Simagic Q1 adds 4 RGB buttons, an LED screen and dual USB, and the Moza SGP delivers a clean, precise shift with Pit House integration. The H-pattern is the tool of historic racing and trucking: the Simagic DS-8X does both, 8 gears in an H pattern plus sequential mode, in an aluminum-steel build with adjustable resistance.

Most shifters mount with a clamp or a standalone base, with no need for a profile structure — perfect for a desk setup. Built to handle thousands of gear changes, they last several years of regular use, powered simply through the computer's USB port, with no external power supply. Technically compatible with a regular game controller, they're mainly designed to pair with a dedicated wheel and pedal set.
