Buying guide: VPG Sim accessories
VPG Sim builds officially licensed wheels, and its accessories follow the same logic: few references, each answering a precise installation or ergonomics problem. Two parts here, one for wheel position, the other for paddles. PassionSim is a VPG Sim reseller in Canada.
Spacer 50: bringing the wheel closer
A 50 mm spacer solves a very concrete ergonomics problem: on many rigs the base sits too far away and you end up with arms extended, which tires you and reduces the precision of your corrections. The spacer brings the wheel closer without moving the base or modifying the chassis. It is the kind of part whose effect you feel in the first session.
Duo-Mode Paddles: two behaviours in one module
The Duo-Mode paddles let you switch between two operating modes depending on discipline: a short, crisp response for shifting during a race, or a longer progressive travel for managing a clutch off the line. It is the accessory that saves owning two wheels for two uses.
Choosing by actual need
These two parts do not replace each other: one corrects a driving position, the other enriches your controls. If your shoulders complain after an hour of driving, look at the spacer. If you alternate between clutch starts and paddle racing, look at Duo-Mode. Built in aluminium and carbon fibre, both are sized for intensive use.
