FAQ

A few questions we're often asked about this product.

Our team of experts is here to answer any question you have.

Why a 400 mm wheel for truck simulation?

Because a truck wheel is far larger than a race car's, and that diameter changes the whole relationship with driving: movements become wider and slower, with the leverage of a heavy vehicle. In Euro Truck Simulator or American Truck Simulator you feel the difference straight away.

What controls does the TSW wheel have?

14 backlit buttons, 2 thumbwheels, 2 joysticks and 10 RGB LED indicators in 16.7 million colours, built from aluminium alloy and high-strength composite. Enough to handle indicators, mirrors, cruise control and menus without letting go of the wheel, which is most of the comfort in truck sim.

Do I need a rig for this bundle or will a desk do?

A desk is fine: the clamp is included and gives a stable mount on a desktop or an extrusion frame. The R5's 5.5 Nm with a 15-bit encoder reproduce the mass and inertia of a heavy vehicle without demanding a reinforced chassis.
