14 backlit buttons, 2 thumbwheels, 2 joysticks and 10 RGB LED indicators in 16.7 million colours, built from aluminium alloy and high-strength composite. Enough to handle indicators, mirrors, cruise control and menus without letting go of the wheel, which is most of the comfort in truck sim.

A desk is fine: the clamp is included and gives a stable mount on a desktop or an extrusion frame. The R5's 5.5 Nm with a 15-bit encoder reproduce the mass and inertia of a heavy vehicle without demanding a reinforced chassis.
