Why a foot rest on the throttle and not just the brake?

Because corner exit is all about modulation: too much throttle sends the car into oversteer, too little costs you time the next straight won't give back. Stable support lets you work from the ankle rather than the whole leg, so you can meter throttle far more finely.

Is this a minor accessory?

On paper it looks that way. In practice you feel it immediately in lap time consistency, especially over long races where right-foot fatigue widens your modulation. It's the same principle as the heel rest, applied to the foot on the throttle.

Which pedal sets does it fit?

SRP GT-R and GT-S sets, in grey or black depending on your finish. It bolts straight to the pedal set and is selected as an option to add or skip during configuration, like the rest of the range.
