A powertrain designed for low latency

The system uses a high-bandwidth wireless connection specially developed for the Sim Racing environment. The goal is to maintain fast and stable data transmission so that steering wheel commands and information displayed on the dashboard remain synchronized.

The AirLink comes into its own when paired with the MagicDash 4 and a Zeus steering wheel. It allows you to retain the advanced features of the dashboard while eliminating the cables that normally connect the steering wheel to the PC. SimPro Manager also allows you to monitor the connection status and signal strength.

That's the usual wireless trade-off, and a deal-breaker for telemetry. AirLink uses a proprietary Simagic link on the 5.1 and 5.8 GHz bands, with high bandwidth and low latency, which keeps wheel and dashboard in sync during a race instead of showing you stale data.

It's built for the MagicDash 4 and Zeus range wheels. Setup is plug and play: once the module has 5 V power there's no pairing and no password to enter. The unit measures 91.5 x 79.5 x 72.6 mm at 63.6 g.

A very real mechanical one: a cable running from wheel to base is under constant twist. It wears at the flex points, eventually causes intermittent dropouts, and gets in the way as soon as you go past a full turn of lock, which happens constantly in rally or a big slide.
